Process for Receiving Credentials
To receive credentials one must:
- Make a formal request on forms provided.
- Get a recommendation by one active pastor outside of his (her) local church.
- Get a recommendation by pastor of local church. If candidate is pastor, then a
recommendation of an adiitional outside pastor.
- Be interviewed by the director, one of the elders or someone appointed to conduct such
an interview
- Be approved by the board of elders
Note: The Credentials Committee will make inquiry of references, examine
applicant’s reputation, effectiveness in ministry, loyalty and relationship to a
local church, and seek guidance of the Holy Spirit.
